A South Florida native, Brett obtained his undergraduate degree at the University of Florida and received his Juris Doctor from University of Miami School of Law, graduating Cum Laude. Admitted to practice in all Florida State Courts as well as the United States District Courts for the Southern District of Florida, Brett is an active member of the Florida Bar, the Palm Beach County Justice Association, and the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
When not fighting for a client’s rights, Brett’s favorite activity is spending time with his family, especially playing around with his two sons, Blake and Dylan. Brett loves to travel and some of his hobbies include photography and music. His passion is attending live music festivals and concerts; music, like his children, brings him joy.
Jacquelyn received her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of Florida Levin College of Law. During law school, she was a member of the Florida Journal of International Law and received an Outstanding Achievement Certificate for performing more than 105 hours of pro bono work. Jacquelyn also graduated cum laude from Florida Atlantic University with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a Minor in History. She received 1st Place for her advocacy at the National Model United Nations competition in New York City and regularly performed community service as part of the Omicron Delta Kappa honor society, including Stop Hunger Now to combat world hunger.
Jacquelyn’s greatest joy comes from spending quality time with her son, husband, and Labrador Retriever. She loves the outdoors, especially horseback riding and archery.
Sehra Desai is a Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal at Steinberg Law and is the firm’s longest-standing members of the firm at nearly seven years. Mrs. Desai is responsible for managing the firm’s litigation division and oversees the firm’s Pre-Litigation Division, which includes drafting complex and detailed demand letters to insurance companies.
Mrs. Desai worked for 10 years as a UK qualified Solicitor, where she developed invaluable legal skills, including communication and preparation of files and schedules. In the UK, Mrs. Desai gained extensive experience handling claimant actions against the police, police complaints and death in police custody inquests.
Ms. Desai is a wife and a mother to two boys and mostly enjoys spending quality time traveling with her family and practicing yoga.
Josh Cadrin is Personal Injury Pre-Litigation Legal Assistant/Case Manager at Steinberg Law in Delray Beach, Florida. Mr. Cadrin received his associates of science degree in crime scene investigation from Palm Beach State College and his bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Florida Atlantic University.
Mr. Cadrin has always had an interest in law and the criminal justice system. He studied in crime scene investigation and forensics as well as various aspects of criminal law. These studies sparked an interest in expanding his knowledge involving other aspects of law which led him to take a paralegal certification program.
Mr. Cadrin was born in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and has lived in Florida his entire life. He is an avid sports fan, enjoys fishing and likes to spend time touring wildlife preserves.
Brianna Thornberry is Steinberg Law’s Office Manager and Executive Assistant to Brett Steinberg in Delray Beach, Florida. Brianna started working at Steinberg Law in 2019 as a receptionist and quickly gained a wealth of personal Injury knowledge through experience at Steinberg Law and at a prior personal injury law firm at which she worked for several years.
Ms. Thornberry enjoys the fast-paced work environment and the comfortable, family atmosphere that the firm has created. Brianna is pursuing a degree in legal studies at Palm Beach State College. Outside of work she likes to travel and spend time outdoors.
Ms. Butrus was born and raised in New Jersey. She graduated from Atlantic Technical College and has 19 years of pre-litigation and litigation experience in Broward and Palm Beach counties. Ms. Butrus has had the opportunity to sit second chair in two trials as support to the trial attorney and was successful at defending a corporation in a small claims action as its legal representative. As a case manager, she enjoys helping clients navigate legal, medical and financial challenges that accompany devastating injuries. Her experience, education and genuine care for our clients shows as Ms. Butrus is always happy to assist and address any and all matters that the clients may need.
Ms. Butrus enjoys obstacle course racing, playing her violin, reading and loves to shower her dog, Chance, with love.
